Giulio Cimini is a tenure-track researcher (RTD) at the Physics Department of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, and a research associate at CREF. He works in the area of complex systems and interdisciplinary applications on socio-economic systems, using tools from statistical physics, network theory, and machine learning. He currently studies methods for network reconstruction and statistical validation of network patterns, critical phenomena of percolation and diffusion on socio-economic networks, and economic complexity tools for innovation and competitiveness. He is responsible for the research project “complexity in epidemiology” at CREF.
